QuickTime Troubleshooting
Movie playback is choppy on the Mac OS 9: Increasing the memory allocated to your browser by 2 mb or more will help with smooth playback of movies. If the audio stalls briefly during initial playback, try replaying the movie a second time.QuickTime appears to be installed properly, but I still can't play movies on my OS 9 Mac:
1. Check to make sure that all the QuickTime Extensions are loading. Use the Extensions Manager Control Panel to confirm that these 3 extensions are active--
a. QuickTime
b. QuickTime MPEG
c. QuickTime Musical Instruments
d. QuickTime PowerPlug
2. Check to confirm that the QuickTime PLUGIN is present in your browser Plugins folder. If you have an earlier version of the QuickTime plugin, movie playback will not work.
3. If you still have trouble, check to see if browser's "helper application" settings for QuickTime are set correctly. Go to Netscape's "Edit" menu and select "Preferences". Click on "Applications" in the left pane and check to see that all instances of QuickTime content are handled by "QuickTime Plugin".
4. If you still have difficulty playing movies after trying the above techniques, we recommend re-installing QuickTime. For further Rosler Creative movie questions, please contact support@roslercreative.com
